Benefits Of Fasting!

Assalamu'alaikum

Allah requires those who believe, to run
fasting for a month during Ramadhan, as mention in the Qur'an Surah
Al-Baqoroh : 183-184, with the mean :
“O you who believe! Observing
As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for
those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious ).
Observing Saum (fasts) for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is
ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other
days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (e.g. an old man),
they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskîn (poor person)
(for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better
for him. And that you fast, is better for you if only you know.”

Besides
that Muslims are also encouraged (sunnah ) performed fasting at the
other times, such as: Monday and Thursday, and the day of Arafah.
Prophet Muhammad shallallahu alaihi wasallam gave orders : “Fasting,
sure you will become healthy”.

Clinically proven that fasting
produces extraordinary powers effect for the body. When fasting,
approximately 600 billion cells accumulate in the body itself in order
to survive. The amount of power generated by the fasting mechanism of
course can not be separated from power and grace of Allah SWT

Mechanisms of fasting does not only affect to the health of physic, but also to the spiritual health for those whom fasting.

FASTING BENEFIT ON PHYSICAL HEALTH
The
human body is equipped with the ability of natural therapies. In the
condition the body does not even conceded a grain of rice, people would
still have reserves of energy called glycogen. Obtained from
carbohydrate reserves can last for 25 hours. Thus, those who run fasting
is not worry about becoming sick because your body has a natural
mechanism to defend himself. Even with fasting, the body endurance
became stronger.

The effect of fasting on physical health include:

1.Give opportunity to Digestion tool of the Body for rest.
In
the days when someone was not fasting, digestion tool of the body work
extra hard. Therefore, this digestion tool should giving a rest , at
least one month in one year.
Food that comes into the body in the
digestive process requires approximately 8 hours, I.e. 4 hours of being
processed in the stomach and 4 hours in the small intestine. If in the
fasting month we do the meal ( sahur ) at 4 o'clock in the morning, then
at 12 o'clock digestion tool finish work.
From 12 o'clock noon
until time to break the fast, approximately 6 hours digestion tool
experience complete rest. This occurred during a month.

2.Free our Body from Toxins, Dirt, and Waste
In
the human body there are hazardous wastes, such as feces, urine, CO2,
and sweat. By fasting, which means limiting the supply of food that
enters the body, an accumulation of toxins, dirt, and garbage in the
body can be prevented, so that clean your body from toxins, dirt and
residue.

3.Make Skin Healthier and Shining
When fasting, the
energy reserves stored in body organs removed, so that relieves
respiratory organs and also its storage cells. This mechanism is
commonly known as cell rejuvenation. Therefore, if the people who
frequent fasting, their skin more fresh and soft.

4.Blocking Food for bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells
In
the human body there are parasites that ride of life, including a ride
to eat and drink. By stopping the entry of food, disease germs, bacteria
and cancer cells can not survive. They will go out through body fluids
with cells that have died and toxins.

5.Adding Amount of White Blood Cell and Increase Body Endurance
According
to the research at the University of Osaka, Japan, after entering the
7th day of fasting, the number of white blood cells in the blood of
people who are fasting is increasing. In the first week (day 1st till
the 6th ) of fasting, can not find the growth of white blood cells, but
at day-7 until day -10, the addition of white blood cells very rapidly
increasing. Addition of white blood cell amount was automatically boost
immunity. White blood cells are working against inflammation in the
body, so that why many inflammatory diseases could be cured by fasting.
Besides that, the lymph cells within the white blood cells have a
potency to destroy cancer cells, that called cell vaccination.

6.Increase the Food Absorption
Based
on the science of nutrition, most people can only absorb nutrients as
much as 35% of the nutritional food that He/She consumes. By fasting,
nutrient absorption may reach 85% ,because during fasting digestion tool
rest for approximately six hours, this increasing the efficiency of
digestion in reducing and absorbing food.
