O
ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the
footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy. If you
lapse back after the clear verses that have come to you, know that Allah
is the Almighty, the Wise. (Al Qur'an 2:208-209)

Ayat of the day

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَطِيعُواْ اللّهَ وَأَطِيعُو اْ
الرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ فَإِن تَنَازَعْت ُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ
فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَالرَّسُو لِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُون َ بِاللّهِ
وَالْيَوْم ِ الآخِرِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلاً

O ye who believe! Obey Allah and obey the messenger and those charged
with authority among you. If ye differ in anything among yourselves,
refer it to Allah and His messenger if ye do believe in Allah and the
Last Day: that is best, and most suitable for final determination [Surah
Nisa:59]

And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes, lest ye
lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: For

If
any does good, the reward to him is better than his deed; but if any
does evil, the doers of evil are only punished (to the extent) of their

Dua (supplication) from the Quran

Rabbana la tuzigh quloobanaa baAAda iz hadaytana wahab lanaa min ladunka rahmatan innaka antal wahhaab

TRANSLATION:
...Our
Lord! make not our hearts to deviate after Thou hast guided us aright
and grant us from Thee mercy;surely Thou art the most liberal Giver

REFERENCE :

SURAH Al-Imran,verse 8

Tafsir:
"Do
not deviate our hearts from the guidance after You allowed them to
acquire it. Do not make us like those who have wickedness in their
hearts, those who follow the Mutashabih in the Qur'an. Rather, make us
remain firmly on Your straight path and true religion.''


[وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ]

(And grant us from Ladunka) meaning, from You,

[رَحْمَةً]

(Mercy) with which You make our hearts firm, and increase in our Faith and certainty,

[إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ]

(Truly, You are the Bestower)


Ibn Abi Hatim and Ibn Jarir recorded that Umm Salamah said that the Prophet used to supplicate,

«يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِك»

(O You Who changes the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion.)

He then recited,

[رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ ]

("Our
Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided
us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.''
